TRACK 2: A GOLDEN AGE

NOBILITY:

LIFE NO MORE IS MYSTERY
THE WORLD'S AT OUR COMMAND
OUR KNOWLEDGE AND OUR INDUSTRY
HAVE PLACED IT IN OUR HANDS
MEN OF VISION, SPIRITS BOLD
WILL OPEN EV'RY DOOR
THE WORLD, A TOY
EACH DAY, A JOY
AND WILL BE FOREVER MORE

A GOLDEN AGE IS TRULY UPON US
AN ERA OF WEALTH AND SPLENDOR
MASTERS OF FATE, AUGUST AND ENLIGHTENED
IS HOW WE'LL BE REMEMBERED
A GOLDEN AGE OF SCIENCE AND REASON
DISCOVERY AND INSPIRATION
MARVELOUS TIME, MIRACULOUS WORLD
THE DAWN OF REVELATION

FATHER: Victor Frankenstein...

MOTHER: ...our beloved boy.

FATHER: We live in a glorious time, my son. A time when one man with knowledge can change the world.

NOBILITY:

THE BRIGHTEST CHILD WE'VE EVER SEEN
     (...GIFTED BOY...)
MONUMENTAL THINGS AWAIT
     (...FATHER'S JOY...)
ANOTHER NEWTON, GALILEO!
     (...WONDROUS DAYS...)
THINK OF WHAT HE MIGHT CREATE!
     (...GOLDEN AGE...)

FATHER: THE FUTURE IS A BANQUET AND IT'S TIME FOR US TO DINE!

ALL: WE RAISE A GLASS... PROPOSE A TOAST...
TO THE HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN

UNIVERSITY OFFICIAL: We are pleased and proud to accept your son, Victor, at the University of Ingolstadt.

VICTOR: It's the finest school of the sciences in all of Europe.

HENRY: Congratulations!

VICTOR: Come with me, my friend! We can uncover life's mysteries together.

HENRY: You have a true calling, Victor. But... I'm afraid it's not one that I share.

VICTOR: Henry... I think I've discovered something extraordinary. I... I can't explain it yet. But only at Ingolstadt will I find the tools to explore it.

HENRY: Victor... since boyhood you have been bent on conquering the world. Haven't you learned that no man truly can?

VICTOR: What I've learned... is that there is no secret that mankind will not one day know.

HENRY: And perhaps... regret knowing.

FATHER: Victor... come. Your mother hasn't much time.

ELIZABETH: We both know your mother would have wanted you to go on to University, Victor.

VICTOR: Elizabeth... we haven't been apart for a day since we were five.
How will I manage without you?
